After deciding to blog about my weight loss journey, I managed to stumble across this post on another blog that I read, and I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon.
A little about me - my name is Jade, I'm a wife of one, mum of two. A full time uni student. And I'm fat. We want to have another child. It's been on the cards for a while, but keeps being pushed back for one reason or another. The current reason being - I want to lose weight before falling pregnant.
I was doing Michelle Bridge's 12WBT, but decided to try something different. I'm now doing Weight Watchers. I started 2 weeks ago at 132.1kg. I'm hoping to say goodbye to the 130s at the next weigh in.
My main problem is willpower. I have none. And organisation. I find the house runs so much better when I'm organised. It's just finding the time to BE organised!!!
Organisation and (lack of) willpower are big ones for me too. Seeing as I'm in charge of shopping, I need to start buying healthier food and having it prepared and ready. I find if it's there and ready I'll eat it, but if it's "too hard" I'll look for easier (crappy) alternatives or just not eat. Hopefully the blog hop will motivate us all!

Hi Jade,
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in. I really enjoyed doing Weight Watchers years ago, it worked for me because I knew I had to front up and get on the scales each week. Unfortunately, the meetings stopped where I live and the weight stacked back on.
I am hoping that by blogging my journey, I am once again accountable and will stick with it.
Oh, and I know what you mean about being organised! Good Luck this week, can't wait to hear if you made your goal.

I don't think I've found a meeting that I've 'clicked' with yet, but I'm thinking of jumping around and seeing what I like. Time will tell. Figure even if I haven't clicked yet - I still have the accountability of going in to weigh every week, which is a must.
ReplyDeleteI've just seen your reply now. :-) I think knowing your supported by like-minded people always helps so keep searching for the right meeting place. In the meantime share your triumphs and disaster weeks with us, we all know what you're going through.
ReplyDeleteAre you linking up this week?
